4ocean

4ocean is a Public Benefit Corporation and Certified B Corp. We are not a nonprofit and do not accept donations. Our organization is funded primarily by the sales of our products and each product sold helps remove one pound of trash from the ocean, rivers or coastlines. We were founded on the belief that business can be a force for good and the actions of individual people, collectively, have the power to change the world.

The Ocean Cleanup

Every year, millions of tons of plastic enter the oceans primarily from rivers. The plastic afloat across the oceans – legacy plastic – isn’t going away by itself. Therefore, solving ocean plastic pollution requires a combination of stemming the inflow and cleaning up what has already accumulated. The Ocean Cleanup, a non-profit organization, is developing advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. When we have achieved our goal of a 90% reduction in ocean plastic, our project is finished and our work will be done.

Greenpeace

Greenpeace's mission is to expose global environmental problems, and promote solutions for future generations. Greenpeace Fund Inc, is a separate non-profit organization set up to continue the vital work of Greenpeace by increasing public awareness through research and education. We are the leading independent environmental organization in the world, and accept no money from governments or corporations.

We are building an alliance to create a better future for people and nature by making responsible business the new normal. We work at the intersection of business, agriculture, and forests. By bringing diverse allies together, we are making deep-rooted change on some of the most pressing social and environmental issues of our time. Together, we protect forests, improve the livelihoods of farmers and forest communities, promote their human rights, and help them mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis.

Ocean Conservancy

The ocean is at the center of who we are. Even if you’ve never seen the ocean, you’re touched by it every single day. It produces half the air you and I breathe every day, the food we eat and the water we drink. You can’t help but be inspired by the ocean. From majestic whales to jaw-dropping waves, colorful coral reefs to graceful sea turtles, the ocean can capture your heart and soul like nothing else on earth. This is what we’re fighting to protect. Because people and communities depend on the ocean every single day. I hope you’ll be just as inspired as I am to join us in that effort.

The fight against climate change is a fight for justice. People all over the world are feeling the impacts, but the people suffering most are the ones who have done the least to cause the problem. The work we do — and the ways we do it — has to address that injustice. That means listening to the communities who are getting hit hardest, amplifying the voices that are being silenced, and following the leadership of the people on the frontlines of the crisis.
